Is Onward Worth Watching?

Onward is the newest Pixar movie, which features two elves trying to cast a spell in a world where all of the magical creatures have forgotten about magic. First, Pixar continues its streak of great voice casting. Tom Holland and Chris Pratt are perfect for the brothers. Holland plays the younger brother unsure of his place in the world, and Pratt plays the buffoonish overconfident older brother. Also, the animation is top notch. Onward does a great job incorporating a lot of Dungeons and Dragons fantasy-like elements into the plot, and because of the variety of magical spells and creatures that inhabit this universe, I could see this becoming a TV series on the Disney channel. The comedy is generally pretty good especially when the juxtaposition of how the of the various mythical creatures used to be to how they are now. The only real downside of Onward was that the story, while heartwarming, was a bit predictable. If you have children, are a fan of dungeons and dragons, or generally enjoy Pixar movies, you should check this one out.
