Is Divinity: Original Sin 2 Worth Playing?
I have tried to get into CRPGs for nearly two decades and Divinity Original Sin II (DOS2) is the first game in the genre to click with me. The highest praise I can give DOS2 is that this is the first video game I have played that felt like I was playing a session of Dungeons and Dragons. I think what really kept me coming back was the combat system. DOS2’s combat is turn based and reminiscent of a tactical RPG but with much more control than something like a Final Fantasy Tactics. What impressed me most is just the shear number of builds that are viable in the game. This game really gives players the freedom to have their party of 1-4 characters interact with the world in a variety of ways. However, this game was not without its flaws. There somehow might be too much content. I like to 100% games, but the fatigue from the sheer number of things to do wore on me by the last third of the game. Ultimately, though, if you are a fan of RPGs, you owe it to yourself to at least give this game a chance.
